Water Softener Installation in Avondale
We install water softeners that take the hardness out of every tap in your home. First we test your water and size the system to your household. Then we book a set arrival window and call ahead if anything shifts. Install is included with the system.

How Softening Works and Who Needs It
Your water runs through a tank packed with small resin beads. Those beads pull out the calcium and magnesium and swap in a small amount of sodium or potassium. You end up with no more white crust on faucets, fewer spots on the shower glass and less scale building up in your water heater.
Hard water is common across the West Valley, and a lot of homes here already have a softener loop plumbed in the garage. That often makes the install a half-day job. If your home has no loop, we tell you on the phone and build the extra time into your window, so you are not surprised on the day.
A softener is not a filter. It won't fix chlorine taste or smell. If that is your main complaint, whole-home filtration or reverse osmosis may be the better fit, and we will say so.
Included With Every Softener Install
A no-cost water test first
We check hardness and a few other numbers at your sink before we talk about any unit. It's free, you owe nothing after, and if the results say you don't need a softener, you'll hear that from us.
The right size for your house
We size the unit from your hardness reading, how many people live there and how many bathrooms you have. Too small, and it regenerates constantly and wears out early. Too large, and you pay for capacity you never use.
Install is part of the price
Our water treatment systems come with installation. We place the mineral and brine tanks, tie into your loop or main line and leak-check every connection.
Bypass valve and drain line
With a bypass valve, you can switch the softener off and still have water in the house. We run the drain line to a proper drain with an air gap.
Programming and a quick lesson
We enter your hardness level and schedule regeneration for the overnight hours. Then we show you how to add salt, read the screen and switch to bypass before we go.
Clues Your Home Needs a Softener
Chalky crust on fixtures
The white film on faucets, showerheads and toilet tank lids is mineral scale. Scrub it away and it is back within days.
Cloudy glasses and dishes
A haze on glassware after a dishwasher cycle is usually hard water at work, not a detergent problem.
A water heater that pops
Popping or rumbling while the heater runs often means minerals have piled up on the tank floor. That layer blocks heat, so the heater works longer and fails earlier.
Soap that barely suds
Hard water works against soap. Shampoo and detergent go faster, and towels dry stiff.
A softener that stopped helping
When your unit still goes through salt but spots have returned, the resin or valve may be spent. We can test the water and tell you whether a replacement is worth it.
How Install Day Runs
- 1
Your call and a set window
You call, we ask a few questions about your home and set up your free water test. You get a real arrival window, not an all-day wait.
- 2
Test and pricing
We test your water, look at where the softener will go and give you your installed price before any work starts. You decide on your own time.
- 3
The install
We shut off the water, set the tanks, connect the plumbing and run the drain. Most jobs on an existing loop take a few hours. If we are running late or a part is delayed, we call you before your window passes, not after.
- 4
Startup and cleanup
We fill the brine tank, run a regeneration cycle and check for leaks. We clean up the work area and go over the controls with you before we leave.
What Decides Your Softener Price
The price comes down to the system you need and the plumbing in place. We hold off on a number until we have your water test and have seen the install spot. Your installed price, labor included, comes before any work begins.
- Unit size
- Harder water and larger households call for more resin. Bigger units cost more at the start but regenerate less often.
- Loop in place or new pipe
- An existing softener loop keeps things simple. New lines to the main take more time and material.
- Kind of valve
- A metered valve regenerates by actual water use. It runs a little more than a timer valve but tends to save salt and water.
- Old unit removal
- Taking out your old softener adds a bit of time. If you want it gone, that is built into your price.
Softener Questions We Answer Often
Something not covered here? (480) 689-4985
How much time does a softener install need?
With a loop already in place, it is usually a few hours. New plumbing can stretch it across most of the day. You will know which to plan for when we book your window.
Is a softener right for my home?
Your hardness number decides it. We run a free water test before recommending anything, and if the number is low, we will tell you a softener isn't worth buying.
Will potassium work in place of salt?
In most softeners, yes. Potassium chloride costs more a bag and may need a somewhat higher setting, so we program the unit to match.
Can I drink softened water?
Nearly everyone can. The process adds a small amount of sodium. To skip it, a reverse osmosis unit at the kitchen sink gives you its own tap for drinking and cooking.
How often does it need salt?
It depends on your hardness and your household's water use. Every few weeks, open the brine tank and add a bag once the salt runs low. We show you the fill line on install day.
